Look forward to the 2021 South Island Masters Games

Proving age is no barrier to participating, the 2021 SI Masters Games will host over 40 sports and attract thousands of competitors from all over the South Island and Lower North Island.

The goal of the Masters Games is to encourage participation in sport where camaraderie and competition are equally celebrated. People compete for various reasons whether it is to stand on the podium, improve their personal best, catch up with friends and enjoy the social atmosphere.

For most sports there is no qualification criteria other than age. That means anyone can compete – either to win or simply have fun.

Our phrase for 2021 is ‘SIMG Reimagined’.

We invite you to join us in Marlborough from the 15th – 25th October 2021.

Social Activities

The South Island Masters Games Parties & Events are written in the folklore of time, providing an opportunity for participants, officials and supporters to let down their hair (what they have left) and enjoy an evening socialising with old friends and meeting new ones.

In 2021 we have seven nights of activities for you all to enjoy, many of them based at our ‘Home of the Games’, Clubs of Marlborough.
